Established in 2015, Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) faces challenges in
providing and accessing Cardiovascular care due to the increasing prevalence of
Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs).
JKCI established Heart Team Africa Foundation
(HTAF) under a Non-Governmental Organization Act, No. 24 to enhance patient
support, community awareness, resource mobilization, medical research advancement,
capacity building, accountability, and transparency on management
of CVDs.
